To our employees,

We write to share important information about new steps we are taking to meet the challenge of COVID-19 for Legeneering’s staff. In the current climate, the health and well-being of our entire community; including each of you, is at the forefront of our thinking. To ensure the safety of our full workforce, Legeneering is moving to promote and enable social distancing. These decisions were designed to make Legeneering safer for everyone – and today we announce several important new steps. The goal is to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our community while allowing core business operations to continue as best we can.

In order to do this, we are giving the option for those who can Work from Home (WFH), to do so. WFH arrangements are to be made with your direct Manager. There will be structures surrounding this, including, but not limited to, HSE checks, necessary equipment (IT requirements), effective date, compulsory work hours, output reporting, accessibility, etc. Of course, any employee who is sick should stay home. These policies are intended to protect the health and wellbeing of all of our employees. For employees whose work cannot be done remotely, we strongly encourage following the recommendations of social distancing and other best practices, and development of individualised workplans that minimise close contact by limiting time on site to what is necessary e.g. conducting meetings virtually or communicating via emails.

For workshop employees, we are currently working on the feasibility of dividing shifts and staggered breaks (smoko and lunch). We endeavour to have this finalised by early next week.

For our offshore employees, we will continue to proceed with caution and screen any potential risks to offshore employee health and wellbeing through the use of declarations of health prior to every mobilisation.

Given the facts we have right now, Legeneering intends to operate business as normal as best we can. This business continuity means that your pay and benefits will continue uninterrupted. We encourage you to support the business as you would normally do.

If you have specific questions on any of the above, please send an email to [email protected].

We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation as it evolves, and further details and resources will be emailed to all staff and updated on the website in the coming days.

We are enormously grateful for the dedication, high standards, and caring of everyone who works at Legeneering. Each of you is essential to Legeneering’s mission – and never more so than in this intense and difficult time. We are committed to doing everything we can to help keep you safe.

We are confident that we can weather this storm and emerge stronger together. Thank you for all the ways in which you look after your Legeneering community – and each other.

Sincerely,

Glen Crawford
Managing Director
