Frequently Asked Questions2020-03-13T03:48:47+00:00
I have flu-like symptoms. Should I come to work?2020-03-13T03:36:29+00:00

No. If you are feeling unwell, even if you have not travelled, please stay at home. You must also inform your line manager. Do not return to work until you have been symptom free for at least 24 hours.

If you develop a fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical care.

How do I maintain contact with my team while at home?2020-03-13T03:37:38+00:00

If you are at home due to illness you are not expected to be working. You should follow usual communication practice to advise of absence and expected timeframe before returning to work.

If you are working from home you must remain contactable and clarify with your manager how and when you will connect.

Do I need to isolate myself if I have returned from holiday overseas?2020-03-16T02:36:51+00:00

If you have been anywhere overseas in the last 14 days (including transit), you should stay at home and isolate yourself for 14 days after you arrived home. You should watch out for symptoms. Report your return to work plan with your Manager or Legeneering HR.

It is important if you have symptoms you should not go to work, and you should not use public transport, taxis, or ride-sharing services. If you need to seek medical care, wear a surgical mask if available when attending.

Do I need a medical certificate clearing me for work after precautionary isolation?2020-03-16T02:38:14+00:00

Once 14 days have passed since you arrived home from overseas, you have passed the time in which you would become sick if you were exposed to COVID-19 when you were in the affected country. If you are still completely well 14 days after you left the overseas country then you will not get COVID-19 from your time in the affected country, and you can cease self-isolation and return to work. Please discuss your return to work plan with your Manager or Legeneering HR.

I have family/visitors who are unwell. Should I come to work?2020-03-16T02:39:03+00:00

If visitors or family are unwell and have recently travelled overseas, do not come to work. Contact your manager about working from home options.

What is the process for reporting my absence at work?2020-03-13T03:42:42+00:00

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 report directly to your Manager. In the case of Legeneering staff working within client offices report to your client lead and also Legeneering HR.

What precautions are in place to protect people working at Legeneering facilities?2020-03-16T02:39:54+00:00

We continue to communicate our response to COVID-19 in line with WHO and Australian Health Department guidance, this includes restricting access from overseas travel.

In addition, we continue to ask anyone who is unwell not to enter our facilities and to seek urgent medical assistance if symptoms deteriorate or are not resolved.

We ask that all non-critical meetings be either postponed or held via video-conference rather than in person. If a face-to-face meeting is necessary at Legeneering facilities it should be requested that they supply statements regarding their health and travel history and observe hygiene precautions to minimise risk of infection.

What if I start to feel unwell while at work?2020-03-13T03:44:19+00:00
